Joan Stone, known affectionately to her friends as “Junker Jo,” stands near an antique gate in her garden Saturday afternoon. Stone has been collecting antiques for years and has begun to use them as decorations in her garden. “I like vegetation growing on, around and through them,” she said. “The trick to not making it look like junk is don’t make (the antiques) obvious.”
