I found this clip to be very humorous, as well as right on the money. I forget at times that the male and female brains are so vastly different, in so many ways. I saved that clip to my computer so I can watch it from time-to-time to remind myself of the quirks therein.

I didn't find this humorous. Actually I found it insulting to both men and women and rife with inaccuracies in regards to the human brain. In the description of the speaker, nowhere did I see neuroanatomist or scientist. Sadly what his talk does is perpetuate gender myths. I think his intentions are to encourage healthy relationships, but I also think his message is just a reflection of our culture's socialization process. For example he states that women attach emotion to events to explain recall processes.....(and men don't?) So what emotion did I attach to the college course work that helped me recall it for exams and later for my career?
Yes, male and female brains process some information differently, but I am just as capable to think logically (my left brain function) as my male cohorts. I deal with stress in a mulititude of ways, one of which is meditation....my quiet place inside. I could go on but I think you get my point. I just had to speak out as I feel this way of thinking contributes to the imbalance of power between men and women, which can manifest itself in unhealthy ways in relationships.
