Here's a guy after my own heart - relaxing in a massage chair, reading a book, tunes in his ear, while the rest of his family negotiates mall madness.
The man in this AP photo is Richard Brackett, and he came prepared to "shop" with his wife, sons and daughter-in-law at a mall that opened at midnight in Nashville, Tennessee. Richard, you rock!
Needless to say, you won't find me anywhere near a mall - or any retail hub, for that matter - today. In good times or bad, I've never shopped on the day after Thanksgiving and I don't intend to start now. Besides, I've got work to do. There are blogs to be posted, Pat Sajak's Lucky Letters to be played (have you tried it yet?), and leftover turkey to be gobbled.
For those of you venturing out into retail hell, good luck and may the bargains be bountiful!
