HA!!! That's exactly what I've been doing.... plumping up aging muscles! Do you think that thing would work on my waist?

I actually saw her demonstrate the FaceMaster on some TV show and was fascinated. I look forward to the after-after picture.

Over the last couple of years I seem to phase in and out of hot flashes and sweats and tears.... During that time I have on occasion requested an update on my hormone levels from my doctors (both GP and gyno). It appears as though it's not really a steady decline. You think you're out of the woods and boom! the flashes start again.

Learning that I could be hot and cold at the same time was a challenge. Finally, I am hoping I have it licked. I was actually cold the other day. A friend of mine almost passed out when I told him!!! I personally did not take any kind of HRT. The women I know that did take them found that when they decided to stop it merely delayed the symptoms.

I am constantly amazed at what comes out of the mouths of American voters. Why not just vote for the most qualified person for the job? Black, white, man, woman.... it seems as though the pendulum has swung back to the 1970s.

We've got to get some balance back.

Thanks for the words of support. I think we need to re-learn how to interact without the crutch of technology.

While I commend you efforts to pull your weight around the house, I feel compelled to tell you how best to resolve the hot flash issue.

I have discovered that when I am having regular sex the hot flashes all but disappear! I have heard that many women have complaints about sex when the hot flashes begin, those that I talk to are eager participants with an able bodied man. So.... keep up the 'around the house' foreplay and get busy and make her really happy!

Well, ladies, I must say that dating in the Boomer years is not easy. Come to think of it, I don't think it was ever easy! While I have been sharing some of my recent dating fun on this site in my Party Line blog, it has taken me a couple of years to get to the 'fun' part.

You might want to take a more serious look at how age and menopause impact dating these days. Read My Menopausal Musings for a glimpse of real life. http://MyMenopausalMusings.blogspot.com

I confess I think these days the expectation of sex on a first date comes from both sides of the fence! The 3-date rule has been around forever. It's really more about a double standard. At some point you let that go. It's not about expectation. If it's expected or required, set him free. It's about what your friend wants and what feels right for her. If she wants to wait 3 years that's fine too! That being said, if she is moved by the moment, she shouldn't let an arbitrary rule get in her way. Rules were made to be broken.
